"Art as a mirror for sustainability and humanity"

Artist Statement
In my art, I pursue the goal of raising awareness for humanity, climate protection and biodiversity. I firmly believe that we can all contribute to a sustainable and liveable world through small everyday actions. My art reflects the small and big challenges we face in our global community and tells the hidden stories of everyday life.
My paintings are a tribute to the beauty and fragility of our world and a call to be mindful and respectful of our environment and fellow human beings. They are intended to inspire and awaken the desire to preserve the wonders of our world.
Through my art, I want to encourage the viewer to initiate positive changes in everyday life, be it through small environmentally friendly measures or social commitment. My paintings are an invitation to celebrate life in all its facets and to actively shape it in order to create a better future together.
About the artist
"Emotions in gold and colour - An artistic journey"

Carmen Schlieker, born in Germany in 1972, is an artist whose works are deeply rooted in the experiences of her personal life. Her art is characterised by a deep love and connection to her family, a love that she missed in her own youth. These emotional connections and the strong sense of responsibility for her loved ones have fundamentally changed her view of life and flow into each of her works.
Schlieker's art reflects her commitment to community and nature. She sees appreciation as a central theme, both in interpersonal relationships and in dealing with the environment. She processes these convictions in her paintings, in which strong emotions and memories from the past play an essential role.
Her style, which manifests itself in fantastic naturalism, is characterised by disproportionate structures and sophisticated ornamental creations. Her works with clear, partly geometric, partly organic lines emphasise themes of varying intensity. Particularly characteristic is the use of gold leaf, which emphasises certain areas of the picture and lends them a special luminosity.
Even before Carmen Schlieker had her first official exhibition, her works had already found favour with a wide audience. Her paintings have already been sold, and since her first exhibition her popularity has steadily increased among art lovers and experts alike.
This has been followed by numerous commissions and representations in online galleries. Her paintings have found their way into private collections both nationally and internationally.
